Concession Attendant – SEASONAL

JOB PURPOSE
Under the general direction of the Recreation Supervisor, assists customers and performs a wide variety of procedures necessary for the efficient operation of concession functions within Triumph Park.

Duration: 7 to 8 months
Tentative Start Date: Mid-March to early-April
Work Hours: 4 to 20 hours per week
Work Schedule:
Weekdays: 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Weekends: Early morning to evening
Wages: $12.00 – $14.00

Must be 14 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Concession stand sales, cleaning, and stocking.
Takes orders for food and beverages and prepares food items according to the instructions.
Completes cash transactions accurately, totaling purchases and tendering change.
Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies, and communicate shortages to Concession Lead.
Performs clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession stand, food preparation equipment is sanitized and tidied up for the next attendant.
Keeps food preparation equipment, building and storage areas clean and well-maintained.
Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Continued education in high school or above. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be 14 years of age or older.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Confident in the use of computers and tablets and able to be trained in software required to complete functions of the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Able to reach, climb, bend, kneel, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Able to spend the majority of work-related time standing .
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of American money, weight and distance.
Able to hear, see, and effectively communicate orally (in person and over the telephone) and in writing (using electronic devices and handwritten) in English with other employees, vendors and the community.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Climate controlled building with large window openings where the results of weather and nature may be encountered.
There is no residency requirement for this position.
